Many people find that maintaining the discipline of working out regularly can be a chore and a bore. What if there was some way to inject some fun and challenge into using an exercise bike – like a computer game? This is exactly what the Racing Cycle does.
Not only does the Racing Cycle offer users eight levels of resistance to work against, but it also has a computer monitor with a racing game. There’s nothing like a bit of competition to boost your motivation, and that’s what this game provides, allowing you to race against an on-screen opponent. The programmable races on this exercise bike include three events, including a time trial (as suggested by the Speed Trial part of the name) and a seven-hill course.
The Racing Cycle uses the fitness factors it monitors – speed, time, distance, pulse (heart rate) and calories burned – to calculate your performance against your computerised rival. Of course, you may wish to use the exercise bike while watching TV or a video, so use of the racing game is optional, and the monitor can be used just to measure your performance in raw data so you can keep track of your fitness goals.
The Racing Cycle is adjustable for the handlebar height, the seat height and the footstraps, making it a comfortable exercise bike to use. It runs quietly and smoothly, making it easy to use – although beating your on-screen opponent isn’t that easy!
